Poles For Many Uses

The chemical impregnation process that gives our poles their long-lasting quality makes our products highly sought after for use in jetty and bridge pile construction, in both fresh and seawater. The company's vast experience means it can source and meet most special requirements, including:
  • Utilities
  • Building and construction
  • Agriculture
  • Lighting towers
  • Marquee supports
  • Flagpoles
  • And much more

Western Poles traditionally supplied poles in sizes from 9.5m to 21.5m in length. Recently we began producing a standard 6m pole, which is perfect for achieving that rustic look in private homes and pergolas. This product has also proven useful with orchard netting designed to help the WA fruit industry protect produce from birds and other pests.

Today plantation pine is increasingly used for power poles and Western Poles Company is proud that it only uses re-growth or plantation timber to provide a diverse and unique range of wood species for all uses.

Half the weight of a wooden pole is carbon, which remains safely locked up for the life of the pole. Harvested poles are then replaced with new growth plantation timber. Western Poles Company’s use of renewable resources is our framework to support conservation and sustainable management of forests. Since forestry is one of the most greenhouse friendly sectors in the Australian economy – in fact it is the only industry sector to be carbon positive when last measured in 2005 – the increased use of timber in overhead networks helps Australia offset overall greenhouse emissions.
